Jody Perez

Jody Perez is a certified nurse-midwife joining the BOL team after visiting as a locum tenens and PRN midwife for the past 5 years. She was born and raised in Goshen, IN, but has lived in Indianapolis since 1999 and now also has a home in Clearwater. Jody has been married to Luis Perez for over 37 years; they have four adult children and 2 grandsons.

Jody received an Associate of Arts degree from Gulf-Coast Bible College in Houston, Texas; BSN from Houston Baptist University; midwifery certificate from Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing, and MS in Midwifery from Philadelphia University. Jody has a nursing background in intensive care, dialysis and labor and delivery. She found her calling to midwifery after receiving care from a nurse-midwife during her first pregnancy and birth.

Jody’s favorite activity is spending time with her family and friends. Her husband, Luis, recently retired after 22 years as a public-school teacher in elementary Physical Education. She also enjoys walking, traveling, dogs, worship and a good cup of coffee. She has participated in nursing and medical mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Haiti and has a special interest in global maternity care. She feels very blessed to be joining the BOL family!
